What are the requirements for the selection of materials during the processing of acrylic products? Here we introduce various glasses.

Glass:

1. Ordinary glass:

Turquoise green, fragile, low transparency, easy to aging and deformation in rain and sunlight, try not to use it as a fish tank.

2. Float glass:

Transparent float glass is made of glass paste entering the tin bath through the control door. Due to the effect of gravity and surface tension, it floats on the surface of the molten tin, and then enters the Xu cold tank, so that the two sides of the glass are smooth and even, and the ripples disappear. Dark green, smooth surface without ripples, good perspective, and certain toughness. Recommended Use.

3. Tempered glass:

Tempered glass is a high-strength safety glass that is heated to the softening point and then cooled by a large amount of air. At the same thickness, the bending strength of tempered glass is 4-5 times higher than ordinary glass, and the impact strength is 5 times higher than ordinary glass. Tempered glass has strong thermal stability and can withstand severe temperature changes without damage. The major feature of tempered glass is safety. This glass can be broken into honeycomb particles to avoid harm to the human body. Note: Tempered glass can no longer be cut, drilled or grooved. It is not recommended for use in aquariums because the glass breaks into honeycomb particles and cannot be repaired at all.

4. Acrylic glass

A glass material similar to plexiglass and ordinary glass was initially used in airplanes. Most early curved acrylic fish tanks were made of acrylic glass. It is lightweight and tough. It needs a corpse. It is easy to scratch and has low transparency.

5. Plexiglass

PMMA, commonly known as plexiglass, is an important thermoplastic developed earlier. It has good transparency, chemical stability, and is easy to dye and process. However, the strength is low, except for some small craft cylinders (boxes), which are usually not used.

Glass glue:

Silicone glass glue is the full name. There are a variety of glass adhesives on the market, such as acidic glass adhesives, neutral weathering adhesives, silicate neutral structural adhesives, silica gels, neutral mildewproof adhesives, insulating glass adhesives, special adhesives for aluminum-plastic panels, special adhesives for aquariums, Special adhesive for large glass, anti-halogen mold for bathroom, etc., acid structural adhesive, etc.

Special glue for aquariums is generally rare, so please use imported glue, followed by high-quality glass glue.

Manufacturing Technology

Grinding (vehicle) surface:

Grind the edge of the cut glass to a suitable size to make it smooth, beautiful and not dangerous. With a special glass edging machine, the cut glass is generally chamfered at 45 degrees.

Lacing:

In order to prevent the water pressure caused by the water injection from causing the cylinder block to leak or rupture, the local edge reinforcement method is also used, and the glass material is also used, which is generally used for the upper and lower edges of the cylinder block.
